NFTY Programming

NFTY works hard to partner with the parents of NFTYites in order to provide the best experience for all of our participants. In this section you will find detailed information about the type of programming that we offer, our health and safety standards, a sample event itinerary, and the impact that NFTY can have on your child and their Jewish identity. We invite you to not only read these pages, but to also browse out website; to see the programs our teens create, the active calendars for your region and learn about NFTY’s Study and Action Themes for this year.

Information for Parents
The Search Institute (http://www.search-institute.org/) has developed 40 Developmental Assets that offers hope and practical direction for addressing the needs of youth today. The framework organizes these assets into 8 broad categories. TYGs (Temple Youth Groups) and NFTY (North America Federation of Temple Youth) offer myriad opportunities for our teens to develop these assets and become healthy, responsible caring Jewish adults.
