Havdalah Service

*Required in every service in some form. The rest of the prayers can be played around with a little more. Some on the list are said more often in NFTY than others. However, please remember that each congregation has different traditions of which prayers are said and how. It is important to pay attention to this when compiling your own service.

These outlines are the standard basics of service outlines. NFTY does not recite all of these prayers allowed (for example middle portion of the Amidah), and although some Hebrew should be left in there, you have the power to omit some prayers and add others. Just make sure that you don’t lose the “service” in the service! It’s about God, prayer, and spirituality…keep it that way.
