Hello all of you Beautiful SAVP’s,

First off, Congragtualations on your election to your youth group board as an SAVP!  The role of the SAVP is one of the most important on the whole board, and I can’t wait to see just how much we can accomplish together.  For this year, the NFTY action theme is Kach et HaKoach – Reclaim the Power of Humanity: NFTY acts to confront irrational fear and oppression.  This should be a really good year as we all work to fight the irrational fear and hate that exists in our communities.  We will discuss the action theme at our network meeting, a copy of it has been included in the packet, and the resolution (and more information) is available at www.nfty.org.  If you have any questions about it please feel free to call me.

David Malouf (who may or may not have been jewish) said that “All the things we achieve are things we have first of all imagined.”  Now, why is this included in our network letter?  Because as an SAVP, you are free to imagine anything you like to help fix the problems of the world we live in.  Don’t close any doors on yourself.  If you want to run a program on a certain subject, feel free to create and run that program.  Don’t feel limited by what’s been done before, or by what might be easier or harder to do.  Imagine what you want out of your position as an SAVP, and then go about creating it!  Be creative!

This section is purely provided as a resource for you to use.  Take what you want and leave what you don’t want.  The section is meant to give you a base from which you can accomplish anything you want to do as an SAVP, however, please, please, please, PLEASE, don’t allow yourselves to be limited by it.  This is only here to help you, so if it’s not helping, don’t use it!

Finally, not only is this section a resource for you, but I am as well.  The biggest part of my job as CWR SAVP is to give you guys help and support when you need it.  If you ever need ANTYHING AT ALL, whether it’s related to NFTY or not, please feel free to contact me via any media, whether that be a call, an email, or a face to face conversation.
