Shalom and welcome to NFTY's Ohio Valley Region! NFTY-OV brings together Reform Jewish Teens from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Central and Southern Ohio, and western West Virginia. Our members come together at many times during the year for learning, fun, worship, community service, and fellowship to help young Jewish adults throughout the region build and strengthen lifetime ties with each other and Reform Judaism.

Our first event was Leaderships at GUCI August 30- September 2, 2013. A near record number of teens attended to learn more about leadership and how to make the TYGs the best ever.

For the first time, NFTY-OV hosted a full regional event in the fall instead of two subregional events. This was held at The Temple in Louisville, KY November 22-24, 2013. The theme was the Method of Miracles. Danny Nichols was out artist-in-residence for the weekend.  In addition to conducting songleading seminars, he lead our region in song at two of the local senior residence homes.

Study Kallah is now a pleasant memory for the 11th and 12th graders who participated in a great weekend with the theme of Moving Mountains; Overcopming Adversity. Thank you to athe 5 teens who had a part in palnning the weekend!

NFTY-OV hosts JYG for 7th and 8th graders in our region at GUCI March 28-30, 2014.  Registration is now open. This offers future NFTYites a taste of what NFTY is.

Those NFTYites who would like the opportunity to become RAs at JYG, Please submit an essay to Cookie (chonigberg@urj.org) and Jacob Price (jacobprice18@gmail,com) on why you would like to be an RA and what skills you have to contribute which would enhance the weekend for the 7th and 8th graders.

Our culminating event of the year is Spring Regionals to be held at Wise Temple in Cincinnati, OH April 3-7, 2014. This event is where our Regional Board officers are elected and it also honors our graduating seniors and gives us a chance to share our plans for the summer.
