About Our Region
What is NFTY-PAR?

Welcome to NFTY-PAR and our online community! NFTY-PAR, is one of nineteen regions that make up NFTY, the youth movement of the Union for Reform Judaism. NFTY’s Ohio Valley Region (NFTY-OV) comprises Kentucky (excluding Paducah); Indiana (excluding the northwestern corner); Ohio (excluding Cleveland and its suburbs); Nashville, Knoxville, and Bristol, TN; and western West Virginia.

PAR offers Reform, Jewish, High School students an opportunity to learn, worship, and create lifelong friendships within a youth-led environment. PAR works towards enlightening and educating our participants on historical and spiritual Judaism as well as social action and social justice.  A large focus is on enhancing leadership skills, development and social opportunities for all the participants.  Seven times a year, at least 60-200 teens from over 30 congregations get together to study the values of Reform Judaism.

The leadership of NFTY-PAR is always available to answer questions and provide useful resources.  We are here to assist in developing the local youth programs.  We hope this site is a starting point for compiling resources and learning about the many different opportunities, both regionally and nationally, that are available for our teens.
