NFTY Action Theme 2010-2011: NFTY Addresses Overconsumption
Participants will gain a greater understanding of the impact that our eating habits are having on the environment.
Participants play black jack, Pictionary, and Israeli tag and then discuss how these games relate to the Action Theme. After, participants partake in a Speed Dating discussion and then a Go Green competition.
Participants travel in a scavenger hunt to determine where their food comes from. This program was written in NFTY Texas Oklahoma Region.
Participants answer questions via survey about their consumption habits in this ten minute program.

Participants will learn about two organizations NFTY supports- Mazon and the ClearWater Initiative. Through a simulation, NFTYites will understand why NFTY has chosen these organizations. At the end of the program, participants will filter water to simulate the efforts of the ClearWater Initiative.
