On May 6, 2012, be sure to be one of hundreds of NFTYites participating in NFTY Mitzvah Day. Help NFTY take a stand in bridging human divides by learning about different issues—and doing something about it! Join together with your friends and your TYG to get educated and get out there, on any project related to the action theme Mishpachah (Family): NFTY Addresses Human Divides.

Resources

Whether through small projects or big, an hour or a day, we can work together to make a small difference. Working to eradicate human divides of any kind fulfills our responsibility to leaving the world a better place than how we found it, upholding our principles of tzedek (justice) and tikkun olam (repairing the world). Why do all this? Because in NFTY, we recognize the power we have to make a difference and create kehillot kedoshot (holy communities).

Programs
All year, we've learned about and acted to bridge the human divides that plague society-- economic justice, LGBTQ, equal pay, immigration and more. We have focused a lot on the idea of divides, but on May 6th, we will be able to come together as a NFTY Mispachah (family) to recognize these divides in our local communities. United, we can think locally but act globally.
